Christchurch Cluster Meeting – Wednesday 3 May

Kia ora tātou,

Moderation Cluster meeting at UC Arts City Campus

Below are the details for the first moderation cluster meeting for 2017.

This is a chance to bring along your students’ work and talk about the standards that your students are currently doing. We can certainly discuss the newly introduced standard 3.11 (Songwriting).

It will be really interesting to see how everyone’s interpretation of this standard could differ. Remember to bring along student work that is borderline, e.g. Not Achieved /Achieved, Achieved/Merit, Merit/Excellence.

This will be a great chance to touch base with other music teachers and to brush up on the standards. Don’t be afraid to bring your worst students’ work!! These students can sometimes be the ones we learn the most from. You can also gain some great feedback from other teachers on how best to give advice to your students and to “chew the fat” about any department concerns you may have.

Please note the CWSMTA AGM will also follow after the cluster meeting 2.30-3.30pm.
