Below are the details for the second moderation cluster meeting for 2014.
This is a chance to bring along your students’ work and talk about the standards that your students are currently doing.
Remember to bring along student work that is borderline, e.g. Not Achieved /Achieved, Achieved/Merit, Merit/Excellence. This will be a great chance to touch base with other music teachers and to brush up on the standards. Don’t be afraid to bring your worst students’ work!! These students can sometimes be the ones we learn the most from. You can also gain some great feedback from other teachers on how best to give advice to your students.

In this workshop, Mark and Jeremy will tutor teachers and high school students basic percussion techniques on how to perform and get the best sound out of the instruments as well as rhythmic activities to improve co-ordination and accuracy. Students can bring their school’s orchestra music so they could learn/play from excerpts in this hands-on workshop. Both timpani and percussion will be covered. Students should bring music and sticks/mallets.
